Andy Westcott is a powerhouse guitarist, songwriter, and frontman whose soulful, blues-driven sound has become a staple of the Key West music scene. He brings grit, groove, and authenticity to every performance. His blend of Southern rock, funk, and soul captivates audiences and keeps dance floors moving night after night.
Andy Westcott was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and spent his formative years in Asheville, NC, later finishing high school in Germantown, PA. Raised in a musical household—his father was a drummer and their garage was always used for jam sessions—Andy began on the drums before gravitating toward guitar and songwriting. With self-taught skills honed through YouTube and VHS, and early recording practice at school, he launched his music career upon graduating in 2003
Andy describes his sound as “blues‑driven, Southern roots” music—infused with funk, twang, and soul. His repertoire nods to the Allman Brothers, The Meters, Marshall Tucker, Gov’t Mule, Joe Bonamassa, Chris Stapleton, and Derek Trucks. With a powerful guitar-driven voice and dynamic stage chemistry, he’s become a staple of the island’s live music scene.
Alongside his younger brother on bass, Andy co-founded The Westcott Brothers, performing in the D.C. area until 2005. A move to Knoxville led him to join the East-coast touring band Homemade Wine as guitarist and co-writer. That band played extensively across the Southeast and even performed at Bonnaroo in 2015. Management by Carolyn Guarini followed, and soon after the band disbanded
In 2016, Andy relocated to Key West, quickly becoming a favorite collaborator among local musicians—stints included gigs with Jeff Clark, Ross Brown, Caffeine Carl, and Jesse Wagner. Eventually, he formed the Andy Westcott Band with Hiram Garzaro, Henry Lysy Jr., and Rick Fusco, delivering high-energy shows rooted in blues rock, Southern roots, funk, and soul
